Is Cartava really free?+
Yes. Cartava is free to download and free to use — every core feature, no trial clock, no paywall to see your own cards.
Do I need to create an account?+
No. Cartava has no accounts at all. Everything lives on your device, which also means there's no password to forget and no database of your cards to breach.
How do nearby alerts work?+
When you add a card, Cartava sets up a geofence around that retailer's nearby locations using Apple's on-device location services. Cross into the radius — you choose it, from 0.1 to 5 miles — and you get a notification with your balance, even if the app is closed.
What kinds of cards can I add?+
Physical and digital gift cards from any retailer. Scan the barcode or QR code, or type the card number in manually — Cartava handles the common barcode formats stores actually scan.
Is Cartava on Android?+
Not yet — Cartava is currently iPhone-only. Android is on the roadmap; follow
@cartava.app for updates.
What happens to my data if I delete the app?+
It's gone. Because your cards are stored only on your device, deleting Cartava deletes your data with it — there's no copy anywhere else. We recommend spending those balances first.
